I took the last post and thread down. It's a subject I really care about and I don't feel happy that the topic and personal family elements in it acted as a sort of gateway return for spurious and nasty minded commenting from the left over dregs at A Tangled Web ( see Monday post below, man I enjoyed that last bit). With luck the dweeb will lose his bizarre obsession with link-rolling this blog onto his hate site, and sling his hook. I'll save my Iran stuff for Twitter. Talking to Iranians via that platform is way more interesting and educational than engaging in a pointless thread with some little boy called "Red Avenger" who can't read and sucks Amhadinajad's cock. Besides, that post on Iran was merely personally anecdotal more than anything else.
It goes on elsewhere on other blogs too. Weird obsessive sad stalkers. I think I am done with being forced into corners I don't want to fight from on this little patch of internet, for now. It's become a personal space away from most blog nonsense. I have even paid tribute to my father here. Sad obsessive nutjobs with pointless protracted spats in true Old Irish form... I don't want to welcome that crap into this blogpad and frankly I don't have to. This is not a forum site like ATW. Hell, it's not even a blog worthy enough of attracting more than a handful of (cherished) commenters who make pleasant, share some great thoughts or opinions and say hello. That was all it was intended to be. I cannot imagine what a fucked up Billy No Mates you need to be to take the time and effort to stalk a blog?!

Alison, I understand your reasoning. But I must say that you are going to be sorely missed. Your artwork, your photography, your unique and intelligent 'take' on the world all add up to a very pleasurable 'pad' to drop by for a visit. Freshen up a bit during the summer, maybe you'll change your mind when the fall arrives. I sincerely hope so. All the best to you.

Silly me. I meant to add that I love that drawing, the change in colors worked very well. Lovely name to give her...

I read your Iran post and it was fascinating to read your own perspective in particular of your family connections to the country. I was hoping to read more that you hinted at there.
Wait until this loser stops stalking you. You know why he does don't you. Have a wonderful Summer too meanwhile. Lots of photos.
I love the "Neda" painting and what it represents. Clever. She was so innocent.
So much perspective and creativity here. This was a lovely blog so I hope you return after the Summer. You had a tough few months I imagine.
All the best

It amazes me that people think that a person's personal blog is a public message board and that their opinions or nasty comments should be published or responded to. It's like those crazy people that sit and scream at a television program instead of just turning the channel, only worse.
Please don't let people stop you from what you enjoy EVER. Just moderate your comments, delete the crazies/nasties, and do as you please. I moderate and what is SUPER fun is watching them in my tracking meter come back daily for WEEKS(!)to see if they've been published or responded to!Remember you are the dictator of your world. Delete them, not your words.
If that doesn't work, just choke them with your bare hands. LOL!

There's nothing more pathetic than an internet stalker, a normal person has no time for that sort of obsessive bullshit. Funny how most of them seem to be Irish.
I say give the bastard two flaming fingers and blog away, just keep banning his username and proxy ips, delete his stupid comments and call in for reinforcements if you feel like bitch slapping the retarded twat in the threads. You know I hold that particular idiot in complete contempt and would be more than happy to reign abuse on his fat ass.

Thanks Luther, that was seriously lovely :)
Thanks RHC
Cheers for the tip Laura. I had closed them and forgotten about moderating...!
I had a go in the post below Daphne and kind of enjoyed it :) But comments mod is on at the mo. He is constantly looking at the blog and desperate to comment, sad boy ..but then he has a blog dedicated to stalking other blogs including one which hasn't been updated for 2 fucking years, the sorry loser! and another one he pretends to post on but doesn't from the whole two seconds I spent on it.. You can just tell. Otherwise you guys are all right. I was just having a "what the fuck I cannot be arsed" moment.
And ditto re Jaded Daphne always. Jealous assholes and twats beware.
Thanks all round guys

I'm with Luther and RCH in all regards... the props and the "you'll be missed" bits, especially.
You've become a daily read for me, Alison... I enjoy being (sort of) "in touch" with your part of the physical world again and I most especially enjoy your art and your POV.
Recharge, regroup, and come back refreshed!
